Joker Training

April 14&15 10 to 5pm – a weekend training course to learn the skills for ‘Jokering’ Forum Theatre

We will work at St Mungo’s hostel NW11, and the residents will be invited to participate.

We have a ready made piece of Forum Theatre to work with and practice interventions.

Forum Theatre Training 18th 18 -23 March 10 to 4.30pm with an evening performance for the residents of St. Mungo’s on Thursday 22nd March

Aim: Learners experience and understand how Forum Theatre can be used to facilitate a ‘solution-focused’ process of conflict resolution with community groups

Objective: Learners work through a devising process to create a short piece of Forum Theatre about a shared issue of concern

Forum Theatre is a unique, effective way to engage community groups in dialogue. The community audience is invited to stop the performance and attempt to change the course of action.
During this weeklong training you’ll experience a range of techniques from Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed.

Cost: £200 /150 /100 Book before 1st March and receive a £10 Early Bird reduction. Payment Plan available.
