Workshop training throughout the year runs on one or two days in central London.  On-site workshops can be arranged within your organisation.

Forum Theatre is a part of the techniques of the Theatre of the Oppressed

It is a theatrical game; a challenge to the audience to solve the problem; the problem comes from an oppression.

-          It is a process of learning together –

“It assumes that there is as much likelihood of the audience knowing the answers as the performers”  Adrian Jackson, pxxi ‘Games for Actors and non-Actors’

Forum Theatre can be used in education settings, in community groups, mental health groups, by activists. This way of making theatre makes sense of life as a means of giving people strength and confidence to overcome their oppressions,  it is also great fun, with frequent hilarity.  Above all Forum Theatre must be true to life in order to be effective in moving audiences.

An Intermediate Forum Training Course will follow the last Introduction and there will be another Introduction weekend in the Autumn 2010.   Get in touch to join the mailing list.

Practice Group;

There will be an invitation to all those who have attended trainings to join the practice group to use the skills and to generate theatrical practice that can be applied in the wider community.  Again, get in touch to join the mailing list.
