Theatre of Change  – we use performing in all its varieties to promote social inclusion

Latest Forum Theatre Training : A Forum Theatre Experience has been hugely successful in enabling practitioners with a range of knowledge of Theatre of the Oppressed to gain hands-on experience of exploring, creating and performing Forum Theatre.

This is the ONLY Forum Theatre training that ends in a live performance!  Pindrop Theatre has teamed up with The Change Collective and Breaking Barriers
Course Dates: 18th – 23rd March 2012: 10.00am – 4.30pm with an evening performance for the residents of St. Mungo’s on Thursday 22nd March.

St. Mungo’s, 115 Pound Lane, NW10.
St. Mungo’s is a charity that provides over 100 accommodation and support projects day in, day out. We will be working and sharing their space. The staff and residents will attend the performance.
‘We support homeless people in their recovery -opening the door to safe housing, drug and alcohol support and physical and mental health care. We provide more help for homeless people in gaining life skills than any other charity -from job training to independent living skills in our ’semi-independent’ houses.’

Aim: Learners experience and understand how Forum Theatre can be used to facilitate a ‘solution-focused’ process of conflict resolution with community groups
Objective: Learners work through a devising process to create a short piece of Forum Theatre about a shared issue of concern

Forum Theatre is a unique, effective way to engage community groups in dialogue. The community audience is invited to stop the performance and attempt to change the course of action.
During this weeklong training you’ll experience a range of techniques from Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed.

Course Fees: Concessions -£100/ Individuals – £150 / Organisations -£200 Book before 1st March and receive a £10 Early Bird discount on the full price. Payment Plan available.
